Silvia Maria Rita PLATANIA
In the activity carried out as Assistant Professor in Work and Organisational Psychology (SSD M-PSI/06), at the Department of Education Sciences-University of Catania, the main areas of research are all within the M-Psi/06 sector (Work and Organisational Psychology). Specifically, the research activity focuses on topics inherent to the following disciplines: Psychology of work and organisations; Psychology of training and career guidance; Psychology of human resources; Psychology of consumption; Psychology of health and safety in the workplace. The areas of interest in the research activity concern: changes in work organisation; the well-being and health of workers at risk; the determinants of consumer choice with particular reference to the wine and food sector and the luxury sector; consumption and dysfunctional behaviour; attitudes towards the brand and the brand, especially those concerning feelings of hate and love; the study and analysis of the organisational, safety and psychosocial climate. Finally, special attention is given to the development and psychometric validation regarding measurement instruments within the M-Psi/06 field (academic burnout, work-related stress, individual performance, safety climate, psychological capital, working excessively, job satisfaction).
