Augusto Giuseppe GAMUZZA

Augusto Gamuzza is Associate Professor in Sociology at the University of Catania, Department of Education Sciences and researcher at ISIG (Institute of International Sociology of Gorizia) and CUrE (Interdepartmental Research Center for the Community University Engagement - University of Catania). Since 2016, he is the Scientific Director of the research laboratory "OfficinaSociale" and board member of NGO COPE Cooperazione Paesi Emergenti, Catania. Between 2013 and 2015 he was Visiting Professor at the Department of Humanities, Institute of Sociology, University of Szczecin (PL). He obtained his PHD in transborder policies for the daily life at IUIES (International University Institute of European Studies), University of Trieste. Currently (from 2018) he covers the dual role of executive coordinator and senior researcher for the Erasmus + project KA3 Support for policy reform - Social inclusion through education, training and youth "TIEREF - Toward inclusive Education for Refugees children" Project number: 592142-EPP -1-2017-1-TR-EPPKA3-IPI-SOC-IN. From 2017 to 2019 he held the dual role of executive coordinator and senior researcher for the project "NORADICA - Inter-Religious Dialogue Against Radicalization of Youth through Innovative Learning Practices at School" Erasmus + "Cooperation for innovation and exchange of good practices ", project n. 2017-1-IT02-KA201-037002. He was (2015-2017) executive coordinator and senior researcher in the 'MulticulturalSchools' project. Enhancing Cultural and Linguistic Treasure of Europe through Teachers' Erasmus + "Cooperation for innovation and exchange of good practices", project number 2015-1-PL01-KA201-016963, Department of Educational Sciences, University of Catania. From January 2010 to December 2012 he was the executive coordinator and researcher senior for the project LLP-Comenius SMILEY (www.smileyschool.eu - Project number 510320-LLP-1-2010-1-IT-COMENIUS-CMP.
