Expected Learning Outcomes

The course aims to provide basic tools for the valorisation of the Italian cultural heritage of the early modern period (15th-19th centuries). More specifically, it aims to provide students with the most extensive knowledge of the elements that characterize the cultural heritage of Sicily and the Italian Mezzogiorno, i.e. the testimonies, having civilisational value, expressed by those tangible and intangible assets of artistic, historical, archaeological, ethno-anthropological, archival and bibliographical interest. Students will learn historical knowledge useful for the management of organisations and institutions operating in the cultural heritage sector.

Required Prerequisites

Good knowledge of early modern and contemporary history; ability to ask questions, participate in discussion and debate among other students.

Attendance is not compulsory, but strongly recommended
