Main topics of the course are:
- The formalization of the concept of information;
- Algorithms as foundation of Computer Science. Some basic and well known algorithms.
- Binary representation and elements of binary logic. Digital representaion of information.
- Architecture and features of modern processing systems and operating systems
- Examples of Application Software
- Topology and structure of modern computer networks; evolution of the Internet, the World Wide Web and related services
