The course of lessons aims to provide students with the fundamental coordinates to orient themselves in the context of tourism legislation.
Preliminarily, some basic aspects of the legal system will be introduced (necessary for those who have never dealt with the study of legal subjects), to then move on to the illustration of the sources of law (internal and supranational) in the field of tourism and the presentation of the organization tourism public.
The course will deal with the topic of sustainable tourism, focusing further on the most relevant legal profiles of tourism businesses and tourism professions. Attention will also be paid to some types of tourism contracts, such as: reservations; the hotel contract and the hotelier's responsibility for things brought into the hotel; catering contracts; organized tourism contracts (tourist packages and related tourist services), with the related profile of damage from ruined holidays.
Course Structure
Required Prerequisites
A basic knowledge of the Italian legal system would be desirable.
In any case, in order to facilitate the understanding and study of the subject for students who have never dealt with the study of legal subjects, the founding elements of the legal system will be covered in detail, starting from the concept of legal system itself, and then examining the main ones in depth. legal institutes useful for understanding the topics covered.

Learning Assessment
Learning Assessment Procedures
For attending students, the final evaluation will be based on a written test which may be followed by an oral test if you want to improve the outcome of the final test.
Non-attending students will only take the oral exam.
