Call for participants - Educational field trip in Catania

Dear Students,
We are pleased to announce an upcoming educational field trip entitled:
“Ancient Catania and its ‘Rediscovery’ in the Modern Age: A Historical Path – Part I.”
The excursion will take place on March 6, 2026.
Participants will meet at 8:15 a.m. in front of the entrance of Palazzo Ingrassia, Catania.
The field trip will offer the opportunity to explore some of the city’s most significant historical and cultural sites, including:
- Monastero dei Benedettini
- Via Crociferi
- Museo Diocesano di Catania
- Anfiteatro Romano di Catania
- Villa Bellini
The visit will focus on the ancient origins of Catania and the processes through which its classical heritage was rediscovered and reinterpreted during the modern period.
Students who are interested in participating are kindly requested to confirm their attendance by 28th February. One of the interested students should send an email including the full names and student ID numbers (matricola numbers) of all participants.
We strongly encourage all interested students to take part in this valuable academic opportunity.
